Notice the tenses of the phrase: “But ye are a chosen race and a royal priesthood, an eminent nation.” This isn’t implying the future; it’s not a pledge; it’s not a promise. It refers to who you are now! You’re a chosen race; you are dedicated to God. That means you are sanctified unto Him for glory and for beauty.

You’re His special treasure, plus you’re the heir to His kingdom. You’re born a king (Revelation 1:6). You are part of the royal family of the Monarch of the Universe. Take a walk in this state of consciousness. Kings rule; Therefore, reign in life over devils and all diseases, illnesses, and tribulations of your life.

Our theme verse likewise states that we are God’s own purchased, special people. He purchased us by the blood of Jesus (Acts 20:28), to ensure we can set forth His wonderful deeds and display His virtues and perfections. That staggers the mind! What a great calling! It is a call to radiate and demonstrate divine excellence; we have the capacity to accomplish this.

What’s more? The Bible says He has called us into His marvelous, overwhelming light. That means that we live in light and are people of the It’st. Jesus also declared in Matthew 5:14, “Ye have become the lights of the earth.” This is a great blessing! What a privilege! What a great commission! What a great call! We’re the shining stars in the darkness!

To fully grasp the significance of this statement, you must first know what light actually is. Light is that which makes manifest. Light describes. Ephesians 5:13 says, “But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.” In terms of light, it lets you know what’s happening. It guides you and provides direction. Light brings fulfillment and joy.

When you show up, darkness disappears. Darkness symbolizes disease, sin or death, evil, and everything negative that is associated with Satan. Jesus said: “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12).

As Jesus, You are the shining star of the world and are the life-giving light. You’ve been lifted from darkness and into the life of glory. Rise and shine! Do not allow the work of darkness to manifest in your life because there’s no shadow in your life.

Can you see why your life has to be so beautiful and full of perfection? Everything you do should reflect brightness, divine grace, and beauty. You must exhibit the courtesy of the Spirit throughout your life since you are an ambassador for Christ.

Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see. your good works, and glorify your Father which is in. heaven.” Don’t only shine; shine brightly. Let the power of your light dazzle and discomfit Satan and his demons and the evil works of darkness. Let it motivate men to praise and worship your Heavenly Father after they witness your great works, which are your acts of righteousness.
