The Islamic Development Bank Scholarship (IsDB) is designed to provide financial assistance to young Muslim students who are academically talented and from Muslim Communities in non-Muslim communities.

Islamic Development Bank (IsDB)/Turkiye Scholarships Details

The ISDB-Turkiye Scholarships Jaint Scholarship Program offers scholarships to international students from all IsDB member countries and Muslim Communities throughout the world to study.

Applicants should submit their application via the Turkiye Scholarships site. You can submit your application in eight languages: Turkish, Arabic Arabic, English, French, Russian, Bosnian, Persian, and Spanish.

IsDB Scholarship Programme for Muslim Communities outside Member Countries (SPMC).

The SPMC, launched in 1983, was created to allow academically gifted and financially poor young Muslim students in non-MCs to pursue undergraduate studies in medicine, engineering, and computer science, as well as agriculture and other related areas, in their own country or in IsDB MCs.

IsDB Master of Science Scholarship Program

The M.Sc. Scholarship Program was launched in 1998 to assist 20 IsDB LDMCs in developing their human capital, especially in science and technology, which are relevant and necessary for this development.

IsDB Merit Scholarship Program (MSP) for High Technology

In 1992, the Merit Scholarship Program was implemented. The program is devoted to advanced study and/or research (3-year Ph.D. and 6-12 months post-Doctorate) in 16 areas of applied science and high technology deemed necessary for MCs’ development.

IsDB-ISFD Scholarship Program

The IsDB ISFD Scholarship Program, launched by IsDB in 2019, with the support of the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development(ISFD), has the specific goal of reducing poverty within 21 Least Developed IsDB member countries (LDMCs). The program offers educational opportunities for academically talented and financially impoverished youth from 21 LDMCs who wish to pursue bachelor’s studies in medicine, engineering, agriculture, or other related fields or a technical degree at a public institution in their home country or one of the IsDB member countries.

Islamic Development Bank (IsDB)/Turkiye Scholarships Eligibility 

For applicants to be eligible for the Islamic Development Bank Scholarships (IsDB/Turkiye), they must meet the following criteria:

  • Need financial support to continue your studies
  • Maximum age is 24 years
  • No IsDB employee or Executive Director or his/her alternate and/or any staff of any type (including temporary or consultant) of IsDB Group, nor a relative of blood or adoption. The term “close relatives” is defined as mother, dad, sister, halfsister, bro, half-bro, son, daddy, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew.
  • Good grades in science majors.
  • Evidence of language proficiency is required in the medium of instruction at the university, if applicable. Language proficiency must be demonstrated by a document, such as a TOEFL, IELTS, or British Council certificate for English.
  • If originally in another language, all documents will be translated into French or English by a certified translator.
  • Medically fit and willing for a medical examination to be conducted after selection
  • It is preferable to have been accepted into one of the programs covered by a college or university recognized in the country.
  • No other scholarship was received at the time of applying and during your studies.

The IsDB Scholarship includes:

  • Monthly stipends differ depending on the country where you are studying.
  • The full cost of tuition fees is covered.
  • Medical Insurance.
  • Tickets for round-trip flights
  • Students who study abroad are entitled to a settlement allowance.
  • (For postgraduate students) Thesis preparation allowance. (For postgraduate students).
  • Book and Clothing Allowance for Doctoral Students
  • Post-doctoral Program: Allowance for the preparation of scientific papers
