Scholarship Description
The York University Glendon Scholarship is awarded to international students admitted to Glendon who have achieved a high academic standing (80% or higher or equivalent) and who show leadership in the community or through excellence in sports or arts.

York University Glendon Scholarships Details
The criteria for eligibility will include a letter from a teacher or counselor at a high school and a completed application that includes a 300-word statement outlining the applicant’s leadership qualities and contribution to Glendon. This award provides $10,000 to 10 students for their first year at Glendon; it is renewable for up to four years. For this award to be renewed, recipients must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 8 over 24 credits in a single school year; this includes the summer semester and fall and winter semesters.
York University Glendon Scholarship Eligibility
To apply for the York University Glendon Scholarship:
- You must be an international student requiring a study permit in Canada.
- Only applicants with a high school diploma are eligible. No prior college or university experience is allowed.
- Minimum Academic Standing of “A” (or equivalent) average is required.
- Requirements: Community service, artistic or sporting achievement, or any other individual achievement.
- You will need a letter of recommendation either from your teacher or counselor at high school.
Scholarships Duration and Rewards
- This award provides 10 recipients with $10,000 towards their first year of study in a Glendon Program; the amount is renewable each year for full-time studies, up to four years.
