The University of Winnipeg’s President’s scholarship is designed to help exceptional international students pursue graduate studies at the University.

University of Winnipeg President’s Award Details
The University of Winnipeg Faculty of Graduate Studies offers a number of awards and scholarships to help students pursue their graduate studies.
The President’s Scholarship is awarded to first-time international students who enter a University of Winnipeg Graduate Program; the applicant must have an admission average of 80% or higher and be involved in leadership activities.
University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship Eligibility
You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for a University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship:
- Minimum 80% average in the admissions test or its equivalent
- International students
- Entering the first year of any program
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities
- Submit your complete application for admission before the deadline.
Students in the qualifying year or pre-masters do not qualify.
Scholarships Duration and Benefits
The University of Winnipeg’s President’s Scholarships are worth $5,000 for international students enrolled in graduate programs.

Candidates must be prepared to submit the following documents in order to apply.
- Completed application form
- Personal statement of 250 to 500 words
- A curriculum vitae
- Two references who can speak to your extra-curricular/volunteer activities
